Missing deadlines is unacceptable; if extraordinary personal circumstances result in our inability to meet your deadline, we will immediately inform you and recommend a freelance writer who can take over your project.
Our pay rates depend upon the type of project, its length and complexity, and the amount of research required. All fees are negotiable between us; sometimes we prefer to be paid per-word, or by a “flat fee.” We’d like to be paid when you accept our final product, either by check or via PayPal. I’ll send you an invoice that details the work we did for you and the amount owed. Your billing address will be kept confidential.
We will also negotiate the rights we sell you for a project. This will range from First North American Serial Rights, one-time rights, reprint rights, first world-wide electronic rights, or one-time electronic rights. We will negotiate ownership of the copyright of the work we do for you and whether or not we will receive a “by-line.” If the work we sell you remains unpublished after one year, we will withdraw it and request a “kill fee.”
Non-payment of our fees will prevent us from working with you in the future. We reserve the right to seek legal remedies for non-payment according to the terms of our contract with you.
